IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON 2020-2021 APPLICATION CYCLE

Applicants of the 2020-2021 residency application cycle are facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SAEM, EMRA, CORD, and many other national organizations have published a Consensus Statement regarding the 2020 Match. St. John’s Riverside EM understands the difficulty in obtaining SLOEs secondary to COVID-19, and as such will not require for application. Non-EM letters of recommendation/SLOE are encouraged as a supplement to the EM SLOE.

DEADLINES AND INTERVIEW SCHEDULING

  • Only complete applications will be reviewed. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
  • Interviews will be conducted via online video conference during the 2020-2021 application cycle – our top priority is the safety of our applicants. We will be holding video conference pre-interview dinners, as well as a virtual tour of the hospital facilities.
  • Please see the ERAS 2020 Timeline
